Who we are

Zeropoint.IT NV, Staleykerheide 1, 3581 Beringen, Belgium (company number BE 0508.648.895) is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. In this policy we call ourselves "Zeropoint", "we" or "us".

What data do we collect?

Zeropoint collects the following data:

• professional identification information: name, e-mail address, phone number, company and role;
• when you apply for a job: your CV and the information you give us about yourself and the role you are interested in;
• when you book a call: the date and time you choose and the reason for the call.

How do we collect your data?

You directly provide Zeropoint with most of the data we collect. We collect and process data when you:

• book a call or contact us through our website, by e-mail or by phone;
• apply for a job through our careers page;
• register online or place an order for any of our services;
• voluntarily complete a customer survey or give feedback by e-mail; or
• use or view our website (see Cookies).

Zeropoint may also receive your data indirectly from online sources such as public social media profiles, or from third-party partners.

How will we use your data?

Zeropoint collects your data so that we can:

• respond to your request, call booking or job application;
• process and manage your order, subscription or contract; and
• e-mail you with information about other products and services we think you might like.

Zeropoint does not share your data with partner companies so that they may offer you their products and services.

When Zeropoint processes your order, it may send your data to, and use the resulting information from, credit reference agencies to prevent fraudulent orders.

How do we store your data?

Zeropoint stores your data securely on servers that we manage ourselves, in the European Union. We do not use public cloud infrastructure for your data.

Zeropoint keeps your data for the duration of any contract plus five years. Once this period has expired, we delete your data by removing it from our databases.

Job applications are different. We keep them in our candidate database, which our group companies in Pakistan and Sri Lanka also use to recruit, so that we can contact you about future openings. We keep your application for five years after our last contact with you. You can ask us to delete it earlier at any time.

Marketing

Zeropoint would like to send you information about our products and services that we think you might like.

If you have agreed to receive marketing, you may always opt out at a later date. You have the right at any time to stop Zeropoint from contacting you for marketing purposes. If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, simply let us know.

What are your data protection rights?

Zeropoint would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every contact is entitled to the following:

• The right to access. You have the right to request copies of your personal data from Zeropoint.
• The right to rectification. You have the right to request that Zeropoint corrects any information you believe is inaccurate, or completes information you believe is incomplete.
• The right to erasure. You have the right to request that Zeropoint erases your personal data, under certain conditions.
• The right to restrict processing. You have the right to request that Zeropoint restricts the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
• The right to object to processing. You have the right to object to Zeropoint's processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
• The right to data portability. You have the right to request that Zeropoint transfers the data we have collected to another organisation, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

If you believe we have not handled your data correctly, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, dataprotectionauthority.be).

Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your computer or device to store settings and standard internet log information. When you visit our website, our web server may place cookies on your device. For general information about cookies, visit allaboutcookies.org.

How do we use cookies?

Zeropoint uses cookies only to make the website work: to keep your session open while you browse and to remember the language you chose.

What types of cookies do we use?

Our website uses strictly necessary cookies only:

• Session (session_id): identifies your browsing session so that forms and bookings work. Kept for at most seven days.
• Language (frontend_lang): remembers whether you want to read the site in English or Dutch. Kept for one year.

Zeropoint does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and does not place third-party cookies. We do not share cookie data with anyone. Because we only use strictly necessary cookies, we do not ask for your consent through a cookie banner.

How to manage cookies

You can set your browser not to accept cookies, and the website above tells you how to remove cookies from your browser. If you block cookies, the language choice and the call booking on our website may not work.
